Thanks for the info Jill. I was taking Lexapro for a depressive episode. I no longer need it. My doctor said I could quit cold turkey, because it stays in your system several weeks after you quit. However, I started having dizziness. Now I'm down to 5mg every other day for now, trying to wean off.
I gained 15lbs within 6 months. I was only on it for 9 months. My stomach is swollen. I usually only gain weight on my hips.
I have read so many other people have weight gain, even though it was not a side effect...Amazing.
