i have struggled with this lexapro weight gain issue for a few months now. i believe i have gained at least 10 pounds on it over the course of one year. the problem is, it's the only SSRI i have tolerated. it's interesting to read the other messages and note that the people who haven't gained weight have just begun treatment, while those who have were on it for some time. i believe it has something to do with metabolism changes over time due to lexapro. i am very affected by the possibility and will be discontinuing. not sure what other med to take yet.
