I actually just stopped Lexapro almost two weeks ago (cold turkey). Couldn't take the weight gain (42# in less than a year, though I work out, tend to eat right, etc. most went right to my abdomen) anymore. Ive worked too hard over the years losing weight!
Think I did really well for quite a while on Lexapro (other than the weight issue). Lately couldn't stand not caring about anything anymore, feeling like I was just "there". Couldn't stand the leg jerking thing anymore, sleeping only for short periods at night, never waking feeling rested, argh!
So far, I'm doing ok, but some days I swear the headaches are killing me! Definitely a withdrawal thing.
I have already lost several pounds, can feel the abdomen difference, don't feel so bloated constantly. Hopefully I can fight this weight thing!
Reading these posts... honestly it scares me to think I may not be able to get rid of those extra lbs gained thanks to Lexapro!
If anyone finds out the secret, do let me know!
