I have been taking SSRIs for 12 years and I recently switched from Celexa to Lexapro. I have never felt better BUT.. and this is a big but.... I have gained A LOT of weight on the Lexapro- more then any of the other SSRIs I have been on. I run 3-5 miles everyday, eat very well, and walk my dog as much as possible but still seem to gain weight- and it kind of freaked me out because it happened VEY VERY fast. My doctor cut my dosage in half. Has that worked for anyone. I need the meds and don't know if there are many other alternatives...anyone have anythoughts on this?
