I have tried several meds on the market for depression. I honestly dont' think Lexapro increases your appetite anymore than anything else. What some of you may be experiencing can be directly tied to feeling better. You are not depressed. For some people, depression causes loss of appetite. In reverse, your appetite increase may simply be due to not beign depressed anymore. The only weight issues I have ever expereinced were with Prozac. it caused severe "dry mouth" and a loss of appetite. Lexapro seems to have realatively mild side effects for me & if ANYTHING, I sometimes feel nausous - but never ravenous.... talked to your psychiatrist about this - it may not be the meds.
