I have severe anxiety and started taking prozac when I could no longer cope with the anxiety. I did not gain one pound from it. However, my doctor then started me on zoloft instead (to better help the anxiety) and I gained 14 pounds! I was so unhappy with the way I looked. I have always been thin. I am 5'9 and now for the first time in my life a size 8. I told the doctor I can't stand the weight gain so he put me back on the prozac and I've lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks. Stay with the prozac. Getting off the medication will make you miserable again. Try and remember how you ate before the meds. My experience is Prozac is the best one to avoid weight gain. I may never be excatly what I weighed before but if I am happy and enjoying life more, I don't care about 5 pounds, and neither should you.
