I was on paxil for several years and gained 40lbs within 6 months(very discourageing) I questioned my dr about this and he acted like I was paranoid. Diets did not work. I asked to switch to prozac AND dramatically lost 40 lbs within 4 months. Now it has been 2 yrs and I gained the 40lbs again. I know it is nit me,I do not overendulge and once again the dr implies that this is not the case(the meds). I want to withdraw to lose the weight,but don't want to deal with the depression. I may ask to try another med. I was ensuring to me to read that this is going on with other people and not just me. Thanks
