Subject: Purple Finch

Hi All,

I've got a good variety of birds coming to my feeders again this year. (Near Mallard Club Marsh)

3 Purple Finches, all females were the highlight yesterday, along with several Fox Sparrows (very skittish). White-crowned Sparrows were probably the next best bird, one adult, one imm. and a 2nd imm bird with a white spot in the center of the crown.

An Imm Coopers flew in a bit ago, scared everything off but never made a real effort at nabbing anything.

Also, a couple of Harriers and a male Kestrel made decent photography subjects at Maumee Bay State Park today. The Kestrel is vary wary of the Harriers. Yesterday there were also a couple of waxwings.

Good birds to all!

Brian
