Subject: woodcocks &northern shrike

today at irwin prarie i spotted a shrike sitting at a top of a tree on the east side of the road. close to .25 miles down the trail from the road on the south side of the boardwalk. i later ran into Eric Durbin he was very nice to me and helped me to find the woodcocks. id like to thank him for helping me to get a lifebird. the wood cocks were awesome calling and flying probably up to 12 at once. all in all a very good day. there were also some rusty blackbirds starting to roost. joe
