They lost the 3 and 4 hitters from last year, Blake (POY) and Schott (now at Texas A&M). I had no sense they would hit like this. Terrific season. Ivy League playoffs at Baker will be great fun, I look forward to being there!

The man knows how to recruit, develop players, and manage a game. Yesterday I saw a first—I the bottom of the 8th relief pitcher James Vaughn struck out the side on 9 pitches. Not sure that I have seen that in any IL game in years.

Kudos to Dianne Murphy and Paul Fernandes in hiring Brett Boretti, who has to be among the Ivy's all time best hires. Can recruit, coach and manage a game.
