After starting the season with an impressive 11-0 start, Dartmouth is 3-6-1 over the last 10 games.

The Ivy lease has 4 of the top 5 ECAC squads with Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard & Princeton. Cornell has beaten Harvard 2x while Harvard lost by a goal at Dartmouth and Principal. Quinnipiac is proving to be the top of the ECAC and it is likely only one other qualifier for the NCAA tournament might come out of the ECAC.

If QU wins the ECAC tourney then I would think Cornell or DC have a shot for at large berth. Maybe both? If a team other than QU wins the tourney for the automatic bid, at least QU and probably at least one shoujd get in. I suppose how Cornell and DC perform in the tourney, even if they don’t win it, will matter.

I agree with all your possibilities for the NCAA bids.

So scrounging around I saw a USCHO bracketologist's piece mid-last week have QU and both Cornell and DC in the 16. DC beating QU Friday night only strengthened its hand, notwithstanding losing the shoot out to unranked Princeton the next night. Cornell won out this weekend. So if he was right last week I don't think the situation has changed, but, as I say, this was a bracketologist's view. I didn't bother to look at his game pairings.

Princeton has been a thorn in our side this year after beating QI thought we would roll over tigers instead they stymied us again

Holtsie: I am not sure why this is, so far this year. We have a somewhat larger than usual roster due to players having taken injury time off or maybe a covid time off if that is still a factor. So we have 9 seniors. We have played very well at times, although we have given up a number of leads during the season. We rarely have finished in the top 4 of the ECAC, so a good second year so far for Coach Syer. DC has had an excellent year and I think is 12 in the latest USCH0 poll.

How about the DC-P game drawing the biggest crowd ever at your rink?! I would have thought friday night against QU would have been the bigger draw. Apparently the crowd is readily heard on the ice: after scoring what turned out to be the shootout winner, P's Kai daniels put his finger to his lips as if to shush the crowd. If he had done that to the DC bench it would have been poor sportsmanship IMO. Anyway, more hockey ahead and I think DC is well positioned to advance. Warm regards, bengal
