After all the staff has essentially been running the program for the past year with Coach Reno‘s illness. The team is running very smoothly they don’t have to change the system. They know what they’re. Doing the staff is extremely competent. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Keep your fat fingers off it. McGowan deserves a chance to run the team along with the other staff members and the players know what they’re doing and are comfortable with this regime. Let’s see what happens after this season and then he can make a decision whether they’ll go forward in searching for a new coach or not, but give this man a chance.

This "National Search" garbage is a waste of time, especially in preparing for the upcoming season, not to mention spring practice. Promote someone internally to interim head coach and evaluate in December.

But I'm sure there are good examples of teams getting it "right" by both promoting from within, and conducting national searches to find the replacement hc.
