This annual 4-game weekend is fast becoming a big deal.

Syracuse, ranked #1 a week back, then loser to Harvard 13-12, went to Princeton Friday and lost again 11-7, then barely survived at Penn in OT 9-8.

UNC was the current #1, barely escaped at Penn Friday 11-9, then trailed most of today before losing 11-9 at Princeton. The Tigers’ Ryan Croddick had 25 saves (NOT a typo), 8 in the fourth quarter.

Good weekend for Tiger men's lacrosse, although I think they still have some cleanup tasks. Can't count on the G to save every game.

League as a whole showed strength. Penn's near takedowns of UNC and Syracuse is notable; they should have beaten Syracuse but went too passive after taking a 4-goal 3Q lead.

Cornell losing to Richmond is nothing to be embarrassed about as UR will likely be 2/3 (maybe even 1?) in the polls tomorrow. Upcoming game versus Rutgers may not look scary on paper but this in-state rivalry can surprise.

Harvard kept pace, and Brown and Dartmouth continue to look improved, albeit all against less imposing competition. Keep an eye on Brown.

Yale the only one that face planted, against Penn State. Looks like they still have defensive issues.

Comment on Rutgers game meant to refer to PU, not Cornell.
