On the other hand, Tigers have accumulated a large roster of QBs, some of whom were highly touted (to coin a phrase) and maybe they felt it was time to give them a chance and allocate roster space to other pressing needs.

Great example M3. I think he never physically developed enough. I went to a couple of practices that Coach Surace invited me to and he never looked any better than the QB's that were on the field. Even when he got some snaps in games, he just didn't look like what he was hyped to be. Sometimes, players just don't continue to develop like you think they will. It was a big dissapointment for sure.
