You'd think somebody would have asked about Penn's QB situation this week, but not one of the four questions to Coach Bagnoli broached this subject.

One on Joe Goniprow (by a RI reporter because he's a RI kid) and the others so insignificant I can't even remember.

I just listened to Estes' piece. He got almost the identical questions from the same cast of characters.

It's conceivable certain types of questions are not allowed at these teleconferences. I don't know the ground rules, if any. I kind of agree they've reduced the dialogue to something not really worth taking the time to listen to.

Maybe somebody will ask about the Penn QB situation at the Philly coaches luncheon today. I expect Coach Bagnoli may play this one close to the vest until Saturday, but someone ought to at least be able to ascertain if Kiefer Garton is back practicing.

The reporters covering the Ivy teams, especially the campus newspaper kids, have been warned sternly not to bring up injuries. It's a lame thing, but I know for a fact that it happens. Thus, they don't bother to ask so they don't risk getting their press passes pulled.

Makes sense. It's too bad. The teleconference is basically a waste of everyone's time.
