Semis at Princeton:

Tigers and Bruno split on regular season, but 1 seed Princeton won a tough first set 25-22 then slammed the door in three.

In contrast, 3 Eli and 2 Red fought deep into the fifth set, pounding away until Yale broke away 15-12 for the win.

Championship game tomorrow at 6 PM. Tigers will not only have home court but a pretty exhausted Eli opponent after tonight’s 2 1/2 hour marathon.

Eli continued its scrambling pressure from its 5 set victory Friday, taking the first and third sets from the home Tigers at Dillon. But the Tigers, who had breezed through set 2, caught fire in the middle of set 4 and ran it to a 5 set victory, winning 15-10 in the fifth. A really impressive showing by both sides, but the Tigers are off to the NCAAs after a close league championship and ILT fight.
