Within the Penn community, I do not think the change is surprising. We have recently parted ways with the basketball and lacrosse coach.

Priore has had a long run as both assistant and head coach and was a part of several championships. Hopefully, we will find a good replacement.

While disappointed by back to back 3-7 seasons, I don’t see any reason to panic about Surace. He has contributed a very respectable number of assistant coaches to more lucrative jobs at other schools over his career. Looking forward I believe that he will attract many more successful candidates “on the way up”. Although Princeton athletics lead the league by a great margin in overall success, one can’t win all the time.🐅😄🐅😁
