Hate to tell you this but YOU are the politically correct one--the definition of which is "factually and realistically INcorrect."
Our society goes back 230 years during which all groups have gone through a huge variety of experiences both good and bad, at times very, very good and at times horrible (like slavery).
At this time there is nothing unusual about blacks doing very, very well--both individually and as a group--
not only as professional athletes but as doctors, lawyers, business owners and executives, actors and other entertainers, authors, journalists, popular and classical musicians, educators and on through every profession and calling. In some demographics and job categories, their average incomes surpass those of whites.
I too wish Alex Thomas well, but he is not unique, neither in talent, nor--to your specific concern--in the
variety and quality of opportunities available to him.
