How are the students able to come out at Michigan and Ohio State for noon games? Do they really drink more in New Haven?

Those Yale students and recent alumni manage to make it to the Harvard game every year, usually a noon start. Harvard-Yale football is the only "must be there" sporting event left at Yale.

Basketball and hockey still get decent crowds on a much smaller scale, of course. Probably doesn't hurt that those venues are on campus.

I believe he was referring to local youth, who have morning activities. Unfortunately, the kick times are locked in place by the TV deals.
