Last week my picks went 4-2 and 1-0 for Ivy CSFL. Bringing the total to 21-11 and 5-3. For years I've stated "two league loses eliminates one from championship contention. " The last two years have disproven my statement. It's safe to assume three losses will eliminate team. That means the next loss for Brown, Columbia and Cornell will do it. As a whole The Ivy's ended their non conference schedule with an impressive 16-8 record.

Harvard and Yale did what was expected and easily won.

Penn looks like a serious champion contenter but I'm not convinced.

Dartmouth's defense showed up for a second consecutive week. That puts them back on their usual championship pathway.

Cornell got a much needed win. During the broadcast the commentator mentioned The Big Red defense rotates 20 players. Given all that experience why is this team so painfully inconsistent?

Columbia must survive a brutal three gane stretch against Yale, Dartmouth and Harvard if they hope to defend their championship. This looks like a lost year.Next year I expect the Lions to return to their winning ways.

Brown had four turnovers. In spite of their fast brake offense and ferocious defense , four turnovers is difficult to overcome.

Princeton's offense lived by the old adage "playing in a phone booth". Running Backs Matt Childs and Jackson Bennett dive plays between the guards (not tackles!) gave the Tigers offense something they've haven't experienced in three years-smash mouth play

Week 6 Picks
Dartmouth over Columbia

Harvard over Princeton. Be careful Harvard This could be the leauge upset of the week.

Yale over Penn. This looks like game of the week. If Yale can get past Penn, they enter November. That time of the year The Bulldogs become very dangerous.

Brown over Cornell. Bears need this win if they’re able to achieve their first winning season since 2013.

Ivy Sprint Football
As expected, Cornell lost to Army 49-9.

Mansfield (3-1) over Cornell (0-4).On the positive side, now that Army and Navy games have been played Cornell's schedule gets a whole lot easier

Chestnut Hill (3-2) over Penn(1-3) The Quakers will be close but no Cigar!

Bennett and Childs play for Brown. The primary Tiger RBs last week were Ethan Clark and Kai Honda.

At least get the right players with the right teams. 😊

Speraman: You're correct.I misspoke on the Brown and Princeton running backs.
Penn Nation: I've haven't hit "happy hour" in a couple of weeks. Your implication is a sensible suggestion.

Points for watching the game, though.
