Brown 32
Georgetown 0
at half

Typical James Perry offense
But the Bears Defense is playing well
New DC and four new defensive coaches.
Forced 2 INTs, 3 fumbles
only one penalty

Hoyas came in averaging 40 points-per-game

Completely unprepared. Curfew was apparently not followed across the board.

Georgetown did not take Brown seriously and paid for it.

How could they not? Brown is 6-1 all time vs. GU, has won its previous three home games over Georgetown by an average of 26 points and Georgetown's overall record vs. the IL is abysmal.

Reason: Georgetown can't beat any Ivy school on financial aid awards and loses recruits across the board as a result. It doesn't excuse the performance today but the talent gap is visible. How many recruits do you hear that Georgetown beat out vs. HYP, Penn, or even Brown on recruiting?

First shutout since 2013, biggest margin of victory since 2013. Hoyas were without their starting QB, but still an achievement to hold them to 76 rushing yards, when they had been averaging 186 YPG on the ground prior to today's match-up.

Defense recorded 8 sacks today - the team finished the 2024 season with 16 sacks.

A nice start, but a trip to Cambridge will give us a better sense of whether this team is for real or not.
