The Harvard “faithful” need to get a grip if they can’t embrace a FB coach just because he is a “Princeton guy”. Some of the most storied Tiger coaches have been graduates of other Ivies, including legendary T&F coach Fred Samara (Penn ‘73), HOF WLax coach Chris Sailor (Harvard ‘81) and Courtney Banghart (Dartmouth ‘00), who transformed WBB into a dynasty.

I don't disagree, just stating what is. And none of those sports have the doxology of football at Harvard and some of the other Ivies, maybe all of them.

The grumbling and ill will Aurich received was very public.

What matters is winning, and in some cases, like at Harvard and Yale, even overall winning records are tarnished by losses to arch rivals.

Aurich's imperative to win is nearly as great in the mid-term as Priore's and Perry's imperative in the short term, I think.
