Excellent article and I don't think you are crazy... but us crazies don't seem to recognize other crazies. I started asking the same question regarding wildlife AND plantlife a couple of years ago. In my native stomping ground of the southern rockies critters that use to be abundant are rarely seen. I love bears, even though a wild bear close up can give me the "I'm gonna be eaten" spooks. I use to see bears regularly during my hikes, but, no more. The bears have disappeared. The same with mountain lions and the ever copious coyote. Even the tame pussycat seems to be disappearing and the barn cats are producing smaller and smaller litters, many stillborn.

On a similiar topic, I have noticed that something is affecting garden crops too. The droughts have been very hard on gardens but even if you do manage to get enough water to sustain a garden, the plants are withering away. I have never had this problem before, in fact, I have a reputation for leaving green thumbprints because plants seem to like me.

Something else... in regards to your "woodsman" and their ability to survive and that this might be an attack on our foodsource to control the population.. not a bad theory, espcially when you consider the forest fires that are eating all of the forests in the rockies.
