Once again, I'm on the same page with you on this one.

Just think what might happen if suddenly the border between Mexico and the USA were opened. There might be a little surge at first but it would quickly even out. The money saved fighting the "illegal" traffic would be saved because those crossing the border would have to find work or go back home. The corruption in the Mexican government would take a big hit immediately because there would be no more enslaved takers. It would immediately have to learn ways of bargaining not heretofore practiced. The poor Mexicans looking for a better way of life could find a balance in the whole thing and make it work.
On the always present side of greed, Mexico is a vast country full of wealth. If people from both sides of the border could find a way together to cultivate it, there might not be the constant threat of evil infiltrators bent on destroying both nations.
