As I percieve it Reggie is saying that he sees the American flag as a sign of oppression and James answer to that is that Americans who have fought and died under that banner invalidate his claims of oppression.
Someone recently made a claim against me that I was wrong in making fun of the Constitution based on the fact that millions of Americans, (including myself) had taken an oath to uphold it.
To say that millions have died for freedom, or that millions have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution does not mean that we are free or that our leaders uphold the Constitution.
I'm sure the easiest argument for people who believe no one has the right to complain about the American government if they are a citizen would be "America, love it or leave it!"
It might make a great bumper sticker for a rusted out American made truck , but it is a poor excuse for an argument.
