I see your posts as being more about spewing out some anger than it is about making a point....I too, am an athiest....I too, have gotten the disgusting looks and the sermons about how wrong I am....
But the Bible is steeped in both Libertine and Socialistic concepts....The Ten Commandments, with the exception of a few, are just basic libertine rules for living....don't steal, don't murder, don't lie, honor your parents, and so on....
Also to deny that the events of the bible didn't take place is foolhearted....the bible is a historical document plain and simple....and as an atheist you have to study it in that context....
And to say that all Christians are bigoted is like saying all Libertarians are Drugged out hippies....
