Be a part of a comprehensive guide to stringing and stick modification. The
Art of Stringing is currently being written and we need your help. Many of you
have probably seen how-to guides on stringing pockets on other websites. We
are asking for any stringers, whether amateur or professional, to step forward
with their description, step by step, of how to string pockets. The
descriptions should be as comprehensive and detailed as possible. If it is possible for
pictures to be taken and submitted with the article it would make the
submission much more likely to be accepted for the book. We are also looking for any
type of tips or tricks related to the string of pockets. If you have any such
small tips they would be much appreciated. Furthermore, we are also looking for
step by step guides for dying. If you are planning a cool dye take pictures of
your different steps and submit them with a description explaining your
process. All submissions will be strongly reviewed and considered. If your
submission is selected for the book you will of course be duly recognized and be
eligible for the possibility of a profit share when the book is completed. All dyes
and descriptions must be your original work (we understand that the pocket
itself may not be your original design, i.e. Pita pocket, but all stringing
directions must be yours) and previously unpublished. If your submission does not
meet this simple criteria it will be discarded. We are looking for directions
and descriptions in the following areas:
I. Mesh Stringing
A. Soft Mesh
B. Hard Mesh
C. 6D Mesh
D. Mini Mesh

II. Trad String
A. 6 or 8 diamond Trad
B. Wide Trad
C. Pita Pocket
D. Double Trad
( need more here )

III. Custom Pockets
A. Corner Pocket
B. Mesh X Pocket
( Need More )

IV. Dying

V. Pinching

If your pocket is not listed please feel free to submit directions and
pictures so it can be added to this stringing guide. Finally, we cannot stress
enough the importance of detail in your descriptions and directions. We ask
that you write this guides in such a way that a first time stringer would at
least be able to follow along and understand. Write for the first time stringer.
All submissions can be sent to: artofstringing@hotmail.com
