I've started rewatching Good Times as an adult (I watched it as a child) and if the writers had been thinking, so much could've happened to that family that it's run could've been long as the Jeffersons.
James really took care of his family the first two seasons and what a loving couple John Amos and Esther Rolle made the characters.
I really hope someone creates a TV show similar to Good Times showing the entire family leaving the Ghetto and surviving.
