I noticed your need for a home for your 10 month old dobe, it seems that it would be answer to our search for a doberman. I will tell you briefly of our story.

I have been looking now for a doberman for 12 months (maybe you know Mae Hart)as she has also been on the look out for me, but before this the timing hasn't been quite right, as we have a german shepherd who is 14 years old, and has arthritis, and with great sorrow we have to put him to sleep this weekend, and we will miss him terribly. My search for a doberman has been a passion for a while as I said earlier, as I would not want to replace my shepherd with another shepherd, and truly adore the dobes, and now is the time to now go ahead and finally get one.
The reason I said this is perfect is because we got Mitch (our shepherd) at the age of 8 months, and the reason that the owners wanted a good home for Mitch, is because they show and breed, and Mitch was too tall for showing etc. The previous owners were very happy to see Mitch come to us.

They came over to our house and checked out the environment, and checked out how Mitch would behave around us, and if he liked us, which he did very much.

My husband took Mitch to obedience classes and he has won 1st & 2nd ribbons in the obedience classes. Hans would also be taking our doberman to obedience classes, and we excercise him, every day, of course that is not possible now with Mitch because of his arthritis.

I hope that I hear from you, soon.
Cheers,
Larraine Jakobasch
