He had a name. Ikkaris. He tasted the syllables, finding the alias satisfactory. Yet somewhat disheartening. His sister had a grand name, a lovely name, and he was given a name of a minimal porportion. Didn't seem right somehow. As his dam lifted him up, he gazed at her wearily until he was reunited with his sibling. Falazure would be powerful one day, and he would trail behind her: her shadow. Yet, he decided, he would be powerful too. Somehow. He would find himself a niche. With his sister's presence beside him, both of them within their dam's embrace, he felt relativly safe. He gave his sibling a lopsided smirk, wagering he may very well like this plane of existance. Maybe.

As his sibling pondered, Ikkaris observed. His dial inclined this way and that, taking in the dark, dank, terra. Within his surreul connection with his sibling he knew her thoughts as to reign within their shadows. While his mother and sister were obsessed with the umras, Ikkaris felt the calling of something different. Magickal callings. Yet these so-called yearnings were deeply ingrained -inside- a spark..no more, that spark would be ignited one day. The brass hued brute prodded his sibling in the shoulder with his own, forming a thought in his mind for her.
Fal, who is father? Why is the darkness talking to you? ..it en't talking to me.
His bi-hued occs turned to focus 'pon his sibling- knowing very well that no one present was their sire. He jumbled a plethora of questions together, his internal thoughts a bit laced with emotion- hurt that he wasen't experiencing the same things as she.

The bronze tilted his dial to this side, craning to hear some semblance of a voice. He fancied he heard words, but they were archaic- jumbled. Wagering mayhaps that was but his own thought process, he turned his attention back to his sibling.
Even when you become strong an' powerful..you won't leave me, will you?
The question was basically rheotoric- but strangely Ikkaris wished to be comforted by her reply. He already felt weak and left-behind, even when they were side by side.

Bronzed crania broke into a soft smirk, jagged dentals glinting. Bi-hued occs glittered gleefully at her words, although he did feel an odd stirring of disgust at his words and her reply. Such a weakling he was, inwardly -keeping this thought from his sister- he vowed that he would use their connection to his fullest advantage. It seems the hands of fate was already ready to begin the slow process of tearing the two apart. Wriggling his lithe body he began to find himself a more comfarble position against his mother's bulk- the light stripes across his hide -in semblance of his dam's disguise form- rippling in the manner of a serpent's dance before it's strike. That was when he heard- something.
His crown jerked to the extent of the sound, and found his eyes lingering over his mother's necklaces- those which contained magickal properties.
He found himself entranced by them and resisted an urge to touch one. His eyes locked on the one of sorcery unknowingly, and he fancied his flesh becoming warm with longing.
A desperate hunger that nothing could sate.
This sudden feeling made him feel as if every particle, cell, of his existance was straining for some purpose beyond what his wyrmling mind could process. To him, he felt some intense longing for something he could not find, a hole in his soul.
OOC: is it just me or are these 2 reminding u of another pair of twins? for some reason an image of Caramon and Raistlin of DL keeps popping up...
