Subject: hounds of the boi loi/jerry baker

yeah, I was there when CAPT taylor blew the sling of ammo. I was also in RECON but at that time I believe I was still in D CO., to the best of my memory my platoon leader (LT.)was moved to acting C.O. when Col. Hughes removed Taylor.
Taylor also walked us into a horseshoe ambush in Cambodia where we lost a lot of good men. He got us lost and thats how we wound up in Cambodia, pinned down all day (first day) and the most of the next day until nearly dusk when they finally came to rescue us. "Jerry Baker" sounds familiar , were you the platoon SGT/leader when I came to RECON ???
