Have you tried the National Archives? It is at www.archives.gov/research/Vietnam-war/
1. Click on: casualty lists: State Level
2. Click on: Vietnam War: state level casualty lists sorted by, You Pick One.
3. Then click on the appropriate state

There is also a web-site at www.virtualwall.org.
1. Click on state and then pick how you want it sorted, by name, home of record, unit of assignment, etc.
What is on Virtual Wall is what family, friends, unit members put on it. Possibly someone has done it already. But if not, it would be worth it to put Bill's name and description on the board. You will see that in many cases, unit members will write a memorial concerning the unit member and how to get in touch with them.
