Shakes his head, hands stuffed in the pockets of baggy navy blue Dickies. 'No.' He was kind of glad of it. Dogs were clingy; following you around. He had heard stories of obsessed dog owners who raved about a dog's unrequited love, etc.. He liked to be alone anyway, especially when he surfed. Cats were all right, though. There was a cat that hung around the back of their house, once, and he hadn't minded it. Once he had tried to get close to it, and the thing just ran away. Oh well, he didn't give a damn. There was a lot to be said about being alone, and there was always people around if he felt like being social.
