Beatrice looked back at Nikita and sighed. “Maybe you can talk her into a taking a warm bath… maybe a good soaking… can help…” Michael rubbed his forehead and pressed his fingers against his hairline. “I want to take control… but I don’t know enough. She hasn’t told me enough.” “She doesn’t like to burden you with things that happened inside of Section while you were out,” Beatrice reminded Michael with a gentle voice. “Have you tried to talk to Walter and Jason? Maybe they know something more… about Erica and Logan.” Michael blinked as he hadn’t thought about that. “She was contacted… and while I appreciate that she wants to help… doesn’t her responsibility end at some point? How many years does she have to worry?” “Would she be Nikita if she suddenly stopped caring?” Beatrice inquired as she shook her head. “And I know that it is really scary that she is having all of these flashes… but it has been a long time. She can’t worry about them happening again… a flare up every once in a while is not a step backwards.” Michael nodded his head and Beatrice touched his shoulder. “I’m going to go downstairs… I won’t leave… but she doesn’t need me.” Michael was tired. He turned and closed the door while he headed to the bed. “Kita… do you want to take a bath?” Nikita exhaled slowly and didn’t response. Michael sat down in front of her curled up legs and squeezed her feet. “Kita? Tell me what I can do to help you with Erica.” Nikita shook her head. “I have to find her… and I wasn’t able to…. She isn’t using what I gave her… and it could be that she broke up with Logan. .. but I can’t find him either.” “Let me take care of this.” “You can’t,” Nikita shook her head. “She doesn’t know you.” “She thinks that I’m dead.” “She knew the truth,” Nikita swung her head from side to side with a rasp. “I never confirmed… but she knew… that day… she knew.” Michael stroked Nikita’s hair out of her eyes and looked at her. “Let me take care of this… at least for now.” “I have too,” Nikita shook her head but not strongly enough to have Michael drop his hands from her face. “She contacted me.” “And maybe you’ll make the contact back, but I can do the leg work now.” “You already have Jason working on it,” Nikita wrenched her head away. Michael dropped his hands to her knees and rubbed them. “I don’t apologize for it.” “He won’t get anywhere,” Nikita shook her head as she closed her eyes, her body flinching, Michael knowing that she was caught in another flash. Michael waited there and as Nikita opened her eyes, she leaned back. “I just… need to sleep… and I’ll handle it all.” Michael nodded his head and shifted.
