Subject: Do I need to be assessed
In reply to: Martin 's message, "Welsh National Squads" on 04:38:18 02/04/04 Wed

I played for exiles under 16s last season against west and east wales before injury forced me out of the squad. I have played cheshire 18s this year and i still want to be part of the exiles set up. Having played for exiles before do I still need to be assessed and is there a chance of being included in the camps this summer?

[> [> enquiry for re selection -- Gareth P. Morris, 06:57:32 02/06/04 Fri

I am at present in my third and final year at UWIC, and have represented the exiles through john davies at 18, 19 and 20 age groups. I would still like to represent them at under 21. My date of birth is 7.7.83. I have played for both UWIC seconds and first teams. Winner a BUSA medal last season. I have also attented exile training camps. I am extremely keen to re-establish myself with the exiles. I was asked to play for pontypool, but uwic would not allow this. As the boy who played 1st for uwic last year has now returned - it seems that i will be sitting on the bench, and wasting away. I hope you or John can help me with this. Rugby union is my main love. But i have been offered a contract with newport rugby league team for the summer. My position is scrum half, and my school was St Joseph's Ipswich. My telephone number is 01443 206422. My uncle in australia is keen for me to play out there, but i really would like a club for the future in wales or england.

Gareth
Unfortunately the Exiles will only be fielding U16,U17 and U18 squads this season. I will contact you to discuss your future playing career. All exile U21 players are being fed into the Gwent regional structure, if you are interested then give me a call.
