Well, no, he didn't get lucky, he died at age 38 with the body of an "old man" as his doctors put it. My point is not all diabetics suffer kidney failure and that is just one of a myriad of problems diabetics may face. Therefore to say one necessitates the other isn't accurate.

And an alcoholic is an acloholic, whether it's only on weekends or not. Alcohol abuse is another matter.

Either way, I'd hope Ryan would have the integrity and sensitivity to not joke about being alcoholic or diabetic (both very serious words) were they not true. I'd think a lot less of him if he did.
