Subject: Conspiracy theory? or Why do the networks hate me? (O/T - just needing to vent)

I just neeed to vent somewhere and this seemed like the perfect spot. It all began back in 2001. In the spring, ABC began airing the Damon Wayans' sitcom, "My Wife & Kids". I have been a fan of Damon's since "In Living Color", so I've been watching since the pilot. Not too long after the show started, the networks' new fall schedules were announced. UPN was returning another one of my favorites back to network TV - Scott Bakula - in "Enterprise". And where did the show end up? Airing opposite of "My Wife & Kids" on Wednesday nights. Well, since UPN aired the episodes again on Sunday nights, I would get to watch both shows as first-run.

Spring 2003 - CBS was bringing back to network TV another one of my favorite actors - David McCallum - in "Navy NCIS". It would air on Tuesday nights. Then word came out that Jeff Davis was joining the cast of "Happy Family"...airing on NBC at the same time as "Navy NCIS". UGH! I went with Jeff because I had the feeling that "Happy Family" wouldn't last as long. (I was right as to that prediction.)

This week - ABC announced that it was moving "My Wife & Kids" to Tuesday nights - up against, among other things, "Navy NCIS". This time around, since neither show has an extra replay, . . . sorry, Damon, but I'm going with David this time. I just have to wait for what UPN now does with "Enterprise". If, for whatever reason they renew the show AND move it to Tuesday nights, I will scream! Anyway, now throw in "Green Screen" (many from WL plus DCS) on WB vs "Center of the Universe" (Diedrich Bader) on CBS - both scheduled to be on the same night at the same time. On the night "Green Screen" is not on, then I will watch "Center of the Universe".

So, I ask once again, is this a conspiracy or do the networks just hate me? Thank you for letting me vent.
