I did a search on tvguide.com and found that the show will be on again in Saturday. The listing I have is Pacific time, so check your local listings.

10:00 AM Channel 67 A&E Saturday, 1

American Comedy: What's So Funny?
120 mins.

The art of making people laugh is, ironically, not all laughs, nor is this documentary, in which comedians, including Tim Allen, Drew Carey and Steve Harvey, talk about their craft. The clips of their routines are fun, but the discussions of their work are serious and often dry, although there are interesting insights into what inspires them. Topics include bombing on-stage, racial prejudice, self-destructive behavior and why they went into the business. “They say comedy comes from pain and suffering,” says Ray Romano, “If my father hugged me once, we wouldn't be having this conversation.”

Rating: TV-14

Content: Strong, Coarse Language

Release Year: 2003
