Yes, you do need a picture ID and they are strict about the age thing. Before Sept 11th, they rarely checked IDs. Now they check everyone's ID that go into the taping. If you're not 16, don't waste your time waiting in line, because you won't get in.

No, you don't get to meet the cast. They don't really interact with the audience. Once in a while one of the cast members will come over and answer questions, but I've never seen Ryan do it.
