Author: Postrider, who will NOT, I repeat NOT get into any airplane that Harm is flying!!!
Subject: Well, I guess you have heard about it by now; but, just in case you haven't:...News Flash: Reagan National Airport, Washington D.C. While in town on business, former U.S. Navy Captain Harmon Rabb, Jr. was taking an old acquaintance, ZNN Correspondent Chuck DePalma (who always "loved" to fly!) on a check flight in his personal airplane, a World War II vintage Stearman. Rabb landed, with predictable results for the former F-14 Tomcat pilot--he walked away (so did the reporter!)...

The Washington Post covered the spectacle and you can witness the whole, darn thing right here:

[> [> [> Now, if Pele were still playing, I'd pay money to see THAT!!! Lucia, you'd be surprised how soccer has gained increased popularity here in the 'States. I know some guys my age who were attending World Cup parties...of course, they were held at bars, so there is a likelihood that the prospects of liquid refreshment being plentiful was a contributing factor! -- Postrider, who couldn't even "look" at a beer for breakfast (when some of these games were being televised!, 15:53:08 06/18/10 Fri

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> We "wuz" robbed when we scored against Slovenia and it was called a foul on us when WE were clearly held and thus fouled! We wuz robbed again today against Algeria when we were called offsides scoring a goal where the Algerian defender and the goalie were behind the ball--but we won anyway in the additional time; so, the U.S.A is now in the round of 16, too. Let the fun begin!!! -- Postrider, watchingthe U.S.A. win its group for the first time since 1930--we've come a long way, baby--but it took a loooong time to do it!!!, 12:19:46 06/23/10 Wed

[> I'm sorry, Lucia. I know that it's small consolation; however, the tying goal--the "own goal" was going in anyway whether your defende had touched it or not (he really only touched it by a hair--and it was a beautiful, even if lucky, shot.) What I guess I'm trying to say is that it wasn't the tying goal, but the winning goal that hurts, because it was going to be tied anyway. So, NOW for whom to we root? I like the fact that Germany is such a young team, but I find it hard to root for them. -- Postrider, sending Lucia a conciliatory <>..., 16:01:21 07/02/10 Fri

[> [> [> I´ll take the hug AND the diamond!!! LOLOL Well, thanks, Postrider! The first half was really exciting, but after Holland scored a goal in the second half, the Brazilian players looked like they didn't know what to do!! I felt like ... ... them!! I mean, they´re professionals, for God's sake!! It´s when you´re losing that you have to fight harder! Well, Germany is in. Today we still have Spain and Paraguay - aaaannnnd we got bakc to JAG!!!!
