Date Posted: 17:47:11 08/15/04 Sun Does anyone in the area think your school district is getting an unfair amount of funding? In Kiryas Joel, NY, a town in northern NY, an illegal school system exists. It is funded with the same federal/state funding as all other public school districts. The only problem with this is that the Kiryas Joel district is strictly a Hasidic Jewish school. It not only educates only the Hasidim but it is mostly a special education school. Please check into the information by doing a search of Kiryas Joel. They currently receive more funding than any other school in the area. Please pass this information onto any concerned person you know and encourage everyone to write to your state representives, governors, assemblymen and anyone else in the government and express your outrage at this illegal funded religious school!
