Sorry you think I got my bible contradictions from the internet, Chris. I have studied the bible for over 30 years, and I feel I am authorized to be the scholar. I am also an ordained minister, lisenced to perform the duties of marriage, baptism, etc. Only I do ungodly ceremonies now. It's kind of strange for me to be a deist, with the overtones of atheist in my breath. I do not believe in a god who gives two turds for life on earth. I even doubt if christ actually existed. No matter, he doesn't exist now, and that's fer sure.
It's sad to read something by someone who believes they've got the unconditional truth and everybody else is wrong. All things are created by man / woman. All dogmatic philosophies, including religion and their gods. It seems most people's beliefs are only influences of something they've heard, read, or experienced. People, as a rule, whether Atheist, Agnostic, Deist, Satanist, Pagan, Christian or any of the other thousands of belief systems, will not and can not think independent of another person or action. Anybody can learn anything if they want. But true intellegence is to know something that no one else knows, and testing that "Know"ledge to prove it's existence in reality. But it's sad to see that most people only know from what they've read or heard.
To try and convince another that one has the only way to view / believe is no different than that of spiritual religion or the remaining slew of prophets that's been the reasons for the countless deaths of innocent people across the world who chose not to agree with them.
The reason for my letters (x 7 or 8) to the Daily Sun News was not to get converts in my deistic and atheistic views, but was intended to stir up the minds of the religious and the spiritual to possibly make them think. But who knows? Obviously not many.
