Subject: Enchanting Haze

Enchanting Haze

There's something soothing in a dark and gray night,
something tranquil and alluring, even peaceful and bright.
After the storm has subsided and eased it's contractions,
this hazy gray loafer beckons me,
my idle mind with abstractions.
Somber refection, in solitude and contentments,
even somewhat relaxed more in those moments.

Not so much when it rains, thunders loud or lightning's ray,
for sure it does, on a snowy day,
I must say, I find it certainly that way.
Dismal to look at, this waltzing gray silent mass,
smoking white puffs, in hazy ballet of enchanting stuffs.

Thick as the Dickens, whatever that means,
embracing the lights penetrations, small little beams.
Swirl and strobe light in a kaleidoscope of grays,
I don't know why I feel or think in these ways.

It just came to me, I'm doing it again somehow.
Why not write a poem about it, yes, right now.
So, I put it to electronic pen,

(So to speak.....)

and I bring this poem to life and to a speedy end.
The end.
