Subject: The Dreams That Died

I feel as if I am living in a dream
These days and nights of lonely hell
Have sentenced me to a world of haze
Beckoning sadness and dispair
Such single tears have shed this lonely soul
That nothing's left but a broken bowl
Whose many pieces cannot ever mend
It has broken to the very end

If some stranger might be wondering by
And gaze into these eyes forlon
He'd find that no one lives there anymore
The starlight shine my eyes have had is gone
All that is left is a broken woman
Who's lost in self-pity and missed her path
Her dreams are lost her love is gone
Lost by the death of her loving man

Even the trees have lost their shiny vitality
And wounded leaves have fallen, wrecked by wind
Dancing birds don't call at the break of dawn
And many sounds of life have stilled my soul
Stone dead quiet has entered this world I'm in
Lost are dreams that have never been
And will not be
But in my head for I have not yet lived.
