Having Lost My Nerve

Will this be conclusion
Being the end for me
Writing final chapters
The last thing you see

A book to be closing
To end with my tears
Each emotional page
Had taken four years

Will it be the closure
Of something we had
I’m still holding a pen
With heart feeling sad

Writings on my heart
Into there I descend
Is this where words
Are reaching an end

Arriving the standstill
Trapped and snared
My inside screaming
Heart feeling scared

Having lost my nerve
Once I used to verse
The despair returned
My own fear I curse
