Introspection

He walks with the wind,
as he eddies in theories
that there is much to life
he cannot see.

There is no pain,
while autumn leaves sift
the particulars of his mind,
rest in drift.

She could be
the flower of his time
to sway in his meadow
in rhymes.

He touches an oak
serene in grayed wisdom,
hard with elusive resolve
in his kingdom.

He watches cherry
blossom, threaded scarlet,
hint of his attention need
to arrive yet.

He stares at the forest,
thick with secreted mystery,
yet bold in presentation,
a single tree.

He sits to contemplate
the rhythms of the earth,
hear the plaintive cries
at the birth.

The moss will grow now,
in his shadow leavings,
as he walks to foremost
in believing.

He runs into the wind,
awake from his faring,
most alive with knowledge
of new sharing.
