Sea Call.

The land breeze in the rigging, singing sweet and low,
Is whispering impatience, its time for us to go,
The tide will turn at dog watch, beneath a paling star,
We�ll clear the wall, let all sail fall, for we are bound so far.

The scented isles are calling us across the heaving sea,
The sweet mermaids are pulling us, hauling us to lee.
Calling all we sailor men to where the winds blow free,
Where ocean swells roll on and on in giant majesty.

Oh to be free!

Free to surf the southern seas, the trades a�blowing hard,
With all the stuns�ls pulling well, straining at each yard.
Free to watch the giant whale surface in the sun,
Free to yarn with old shipmates when the trick is done.
