Centaur Clearing
You step into a large, open field. Many other centaurs are there, talking quietly. The wind is blowing a bit, and the sun is out. This is a place for all centaurs to come to talk and introduce themselves. Other animals are also welcome here. There is a ledge of rock over there to take shelter under, and a place to build a fire as well.

Nim slows to a walk as she enters the clearing. She trots up onto a ledge of rock jutting out of the earth and folds her legs so she can lie down. From her resting spot Nim can see all the going-ons of the clearing. She lazily flicks her tail from side to side as she watches curiously.

Immediately noting the difference, the openess of it all he retreated backward, falling into the branches with a light crash.
Harsh brown eyes looked about in frightened curiousity, burrowing back in his little cove of tangled foliage. He kept his mouth closed tight, with no word or sound able to escape, but the thoughts in his head screamed for those of his species, for his mother, for everything he had been longing for in the past months. He folded his legs 'neath him and rested his head against a cluster of moss then slowly and reluctantly dropped off to sleep.

It would be easier to dry them now than to wait until they were tough with the heat of summer or autumn, though they would not be as large now.
