Rubbing sleepy eyes he blinked trying to clear his vision. As his view focussed on the close face he jumped, startled, and pushed himself back further into the bushes, peering out with eyes fixated on the female. He did not speak, he'd been too young to learn before being taken from his own herd, but the same curiousity present in all young creatures was ever-present and he moved forward a bit and reached up a small hand to touch the centauress' face, though he retracted it quickly. He moved close enough now to get a good look at her, even though still a bit wobbly on his own legs, going through their gangly coltish phase that would last a few more years still. The sun browned boy looked up and gave a shy smile, hair falling in his eyes, but still cautious.
