Subject: He was pretty much the youngest candidate this hatching.

He was nearing 12 rotations. Being as both of his parents were riders he was permitted to stand at 11. He was sitting not far from the entrance to the sands, far enough away not to disturb the broody red dragon. The Cintrie on his shoulder chirped and tucked at his thick, dark hair. Without taking his eyes off of the activity now coming about upon the sands with a girl wandering onto the sands he sated his companion with a small piece of the sandwitch in his hand.

He chuckled to himself. Anyone blind enough to wander onto the sands without realizing it deserved the full fury of that dragon upon them. But Treckel didn't burst into her full fury having Coremar near her.

An awesome sight to behold, that red. Golds had their beauty, but it seemed that all the other dragons of Lemies were less refined. That one, single red was the only one of her kind known throughout Lemies. That would change, he thought as he noted the red sheen of the largest egg upon the sand that the red protected with great furvor.

With a small warble and a few flaps of it's feathere wings the Cintrie shifted it's perch to the boy's knee rather than his shoulder.
